I worked as a high school teacher for 10 years and moved to college. Being a teacher, I participated in local teachers' meetings and nationwide teachers' union gatherings.  Based on that experience, I noticed the need to introduce a framework for peace education from an international perspective and to be able to integrate education for peace in formal and non-formal learning initiatives. I published various textbooks for English classes and articles as well as translates various international documents into Japanese, Learning to abolish war is one of them. I retired from the professor at Tokaigakuen University, Nagoya, Japan in 2018.
